It was founded by Girish Sanghi on 1st March 1996 with a huge Speculation in the market. At one point of time, it was one of the leading Telugu daily newspapers in the state. It offered stiff competition to Eenadu, the highest circulated newspaper in A.P. Later due to some reasons, it’s circulation collapsed and is now the 4th largest circulated after Eenadu, Sakshi and Andhrajyothi. It is first one to launch AM Internet edition and left the remaining papers to follow.
